Mrinali Gupta, MD is a board-certified ophthalmologist and vitreoretinal surgeon at Retina Associates of Orange County (RAOC) in California. RAOC is a group of renowned vitreoretinal surgeons, with offices in Santa Ana, Laguna Hills, and Newport Beach.
Dr. Gupta completed her medical education and training at Duke University. She completed ophthalmology residency at Harvard University / Mass Eye and Ear Infirmary. She completed fellowship training in vitreoretinal diseases and surgery at Weill Cornell Medical College.
Prior to moving to California, Dr. Gupta was a professor in ophthalmology at Weill Cornell Medical College in New York City.
Dr. Gupta currently serves on the Board of Directors of the American Society of Retina Specialists and as Vice President of Education and on the Executive Committee of the Vit-Buckle Society.
Dr. Gupta has been invited to teach and speak about retina and retinal surgery at meetings and courses throughout the US and abroad. She has extensive experience in research, including research grants and patents, clinical trial involvement, and over 80 research journal publications and textbook chapters.
